The Elks Lodge #829 sits right on A1A South, where the Atlantic breeze and a cold drink at the bar make strangers feel like regulars within minutes. Members and guests from across the country have called this place impressive, and one visit makes it easy to understand why. The lodge earned a 4.6-star rating from 139 reviewers, a number that reflects real nights out, not marketing copy.

Step inside and you get the full picture: live bands that fill the room, bartenders who know their craft, and dinners that people talk about on the drive home. Out-of-town Elks members stop in specifically to see what Lodge #829 is doing, and they leave talking about the facilities, the food, and the crowd. That kind of reputation travels.

This is a working lodge, which means the calendar stays full. Charity fundraisers, member events, themed dinners, and weekend entertainment fill the schedule year-round. The lodge is rooted in the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks tradition of giving back, and that mission shapes everything from the bar prices to the community programs running behind the scenes.

What We Offer

Lodge #829 runs a full-service banquet hall and event venue capable of hosting everything from private celebrations to large fundraising galas. The kitchen puts out dinners that reviewers describe as spectacular, not a word people use lightly after a meal on the road.

Live entertainment is a regular feature, with live bands taking the stage and bartenders keeping the energy going all night. The venue works well for weddings, receptions, reunions, and organizational events, and the staff brings the same energy to a 40-person dinner as they do to a packed Saturday night.

Elks members traveling through St. Augustine are always welcome to check in, use the facilities, and connect with local brothers and sisters. Non-members interested in hosting a private event can inquire about availability. The lodge sits minutes from St. Augustine Beach and the historic downtown district, making it a natural anchor for visitors who want more than a tourist trap.

"We were downtown St Augustine having a wonderful time people were great and the venues were amazing. I wanted to go check out your lodge because we were from a different state. Facilities seemed awesome out of the large number of members there only a few even seemed interested in speaking with us. I have never felt so unwelcome anywhere. Loved St Augustine but will never visit this lodge again."

"We were visiting with friends, who are members, for karaoke night. My husband went to the bar, with one of the Elk's members, where she (the member)ordered drinks. My husband paid. While we were sitting in the main room, in front of a singer, this rude, male bartender approached my husband and told him he couldn't order drinks. What a "Debbie Downer" of a bartender! Seems the bartender could have mentioned it at the point my husband paid at the bar instead of coming out on the floor, and up to our table. I guess the Elk's Club is bringing in enough money, they don't like or want visitors! We won't return! In respect for our friends, I have opted not to use names."
